NAIROBI WOMEN'S HOSPITAL USING THE MEDIA TO CLEAR ITS IMAGE

NAIROBI WOMEN’S HOSPITAL USING THE MEDIA TO CLEAR ITS IMAGE

So, in light of all that has been said about Nairobi Women’s Hospital until this point and all that is yet to be said, the best they could come up with is this?

Well, just to give them the benefit of doubt, let’s hope that whilst they’ll be out there using the media to sugar-coat their terrible acts that they will remember to mention a thing or two about our campaign on negligence on their part.

Take a look at what was sent out to the news rooms…

ATTENTION: ALL NEWS EDITORS.

In
Kenya, only a small percentage of women can access quality
reproductive healthcare easily, with the majority having to contend
with average services that are few and in between. According to a
recent report,
Kenya is currently losing more than 7,000 women
annually, a rate of 21 daily, to pregnancy related complications.
But these women could be saved if life saving interventions are made available.

The Nairobi Women’s Hospital, one of the leading private hospitals in
providing maternal healthcare and Gender Based Violence care has
recently re modelled the Hurlingam Branch, in order to improve the
needs of women in reproductive health.

For this reason, Prime Minister’s wife, Dr. Ida Odinga, in her
capacity as champion for Safe Reproductive and Maternal Health Care,
has been invited as The Guest of Honor, at the launch of
Nairobi
Women’s Hospital’s newly refurbished Hurlingam Branch. The launch will
take place on Thursday 5th July 2012 from
11am-1pm at the Hurlingam
Branch located on
Argwings Kodhek Rd.

We invite you to be part of this event and witness a step towards
improving women’s healthcare in
Kenya.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Linda Hivon.

Is it just me or they conveniently forgot to mention that their institution has been part of the cause of the deaths too ?

This was an emergency one, unfortunately the letter reached me a tad too late but not late enough to keep you my dear readers in the know of what these malicious people are up to!
